The ribo exam  is the first step to becoming an insurance broker in Ontario. It is the entry-level exam that allows brokers to provide insurance services under the supervision of a senior broker. The RIBO exam is made up of 90 multiple choice questions and one case study, which takes 3 hours to write. It covers, at an introductory level, law and the insurance business, insurance intermediaries, basic documents, insurance practices, auto insurance and the Homeowners policy.

The insurance industry has seen many changes in the past decade. RIBO has consulted a working group of experts in order to ensure their exam continues to reflect the latest changes. RIBO has increased the number of graded questions from 90 to 100 and has added new questions that will evaluate candidates’ commercial insurance knowledge.

RIBO is also introducing virtual proctored exams in 2021 for Level 1 and auto equivalency candidates. This will allow candidates to take the exam anywhere they can access the internet. It will be easy for candidates to reschedule or change their exam sitting up to 24-hours prior to their booked exam time. Candidates will continue to be able to use the online registration system for RIBO’s remaining exams (unrestricted technical and unrestricted management) which are expected to launch later this year.

ILScorp’s RIBO exam preparation course provides students with the tools to pass the exam and start their career in insurance. Our RIBO level 1 practice questions help students get familiar with the types of question they will face on the actual exam and discover areas that need more review. We offer a discount when RIBO 1 and RIBO 2 are purchased together. Tax included.
